Eating Right

While talking of secret of a successful life, Mark Twain mentioned my favorite subject. Food! He credited success in life (to a degree) to eating what one liked and letting the food fight it out inside. I concur, Mr. Twain, I wholeheartedly concur.

Yesterday on my way home, a colleague lectured me on health food and balanced diet. For fifteen minutes I heard her talk about advantages of taking five light meals a day, about how one should treat yoghurt and fruits as snacks, and about how one should substitute caffeine with cool drink of water.

The last point is what triggered of this post. Even though, I told the lady that to drink is human, to drink coffee is divine!

The fact that sour cream and onion-flavored chips are my favorite Sunday snack and beer is my favorite Sunday drink says a lot about my eating habits. But hey, they make my Sunday blissful. I like food that has an after taste. It just adds up to my bias towards delayed gratification.

All right, health is important and there are things that one has to do every day. I know eating seven apples on Saturday night instead of one a day just isn't going to get the job done. I do not eat more than I can lift but I eat what I desire.
