Once upon a time, in a land far far away

the hut of dreams

When the day dawned, the moon yawned – it is time to go to sleep, she said.

For me though it was the time to wake and walk down to the forgotten lake.

I stood there, on the bamboo bridge; in the blowing wind with my flying hair.

The wait is eternal, the pain so deep; I look at the hut and it makes me weep.

For it was a dream – yours and mine, to make a home ever so fine.

They tell me it is time to move on; forget my dreams, let them be bygone.

But if I lose faith and let go of the pain, what reason will I have to even remain?

  1. An interesting story within the poem of a dream defered…a sad poem…but with hope in it…enjoyed reading it.
